Happers Ferry

Over my spring break, a few weeks ago, we had a sunny day.  So John and I took advantage of the rare occasion, we drove a few hours on winding, pretty country roads.  We stopped in Leesburg, at a cute little shop; where John was very patient while I wandered around.  Unfortunately I left empty handed.

We continued driving and ended up in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. It’s a little historic town, the park service operates different buildings and barns to depicts life “back in the day”, like a mini Sturbridge Village.  Since we’re night owls, we arrived about the same time they were locking up the buildings.  Even still, it was nice to walk round the town, by the river and up to a little old church.  On the way home we stopped in another cute little college town, Martinsburg, for some sandwiches.  It was a lovely little afternoon.
