A Hot Wedding

Our recent trip to Boston was for more than vacation, we were on our way to a wedding. It was the wedding of an old family friend- our families have been friends since moving into our house 22 years ago.

The wedding was held at the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Mass (not where the college is), which was a lovely location overlooking a really pretty valley. While it was hot humid with a huge thunderstorm including heavy downpours, it was a beautiful day.

The ceremony was a modified version of a Hindu ceremony from southern India. It was amazing! Thankfully, there was a program provided that provided description and explanation of the significance of each portion. There are some very sweet and beautiful traditions in the ceremony. Of course, all the decor fit perfectly with the Indian vide-all the table linens were bright, beautiful colors. And oh my gosh- all the beautiful saris, beautiful!
