Explanation

Sorry for my unexpected absences.  I bet you thought I was enjoying a nice vacation huh?  Sadly, that was not the cause for my absence.  But I am able to satisfy two requests- Lauren's for some house pictures and Kim's for new posts.


On John's vacation week, last week, we tore our kitchen apart.
This was the kitchen last Saturday morning:

We have since:
*removed all wood paneling (we are so annoyed, and frequently cursing, for that  previous owners for that)
*which required all new dry wall to be hung (such a dirty and time consuming task)
*all appliances are gone- sink, oven, stove top
*all cabinets and counters are gone
*and a new stove/oven has been installed
*replanned the layout
*took lots of measurements 
*shopped- cabinets, stove/oven, microwave, random supplies 


We are slowly putting it back together.
