I've been inspired to do my first blog giveaway.  My birthday is this weekend, and thought Lauren's give-a-gift-for-my-birthday was sweet, so I've copied her (hope that's okay Lauren).

One of my favorite shopping sites, behind etsy, is Amazon.  You can buy anything from them; books, shower curtains, food, the list goes on and on.  I'll be passing on the birthday fun with a $20 gift certificate.
Some of the 46 items currently in my shopping cart:
What Do You Really Want? How to Set a Goal and Go for It! A Guide for Teens

Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Sewing and Fabric Crafts: Basic Techniques for Sewing, Applique, Embroidery, Quilting, Dyeing, and Printing, plus 150 Inspired Projects from A to Z
Bed Hog His & Hers Sheet Set
Hunter Fan Classic Table Fan - 12"
The giveaway will close at midnight on 8/22.  I'll announce the winner the next day.

To enter (one  entry per person) leave me a comment sharing your favorite birthday celebration.  And make sure I know how to get in touch with you!

Happy early birthday! Isn't amazon the best, I always price compare there.

My favorite birthday celebration is cake. I'm a twin and my mom always made BOTH of our favorite cakes! Mine was this pineapple pound cake from Paula Dean. So delicious!

Aren't you just as sweet as pie?

I once had a skating party when I was a kid. It was bad to the bone. That's one of my favorite birthday memories.

Happy Birthday Leigh! Look at you giving away gifts for your birthday - you're way nicer than I am!

My birthday's in January and as a kid I always had swimming parties. I just couldn't stand that I couldn't have a pool party like the summer birthday kids, so we found indoor pools and made it work!

It was my 30th b-day and I planned a BIG party. I had just started to learn how to bake and a friend suggested I bake mini-cream puffs to pass at the party.

But something went terribly wrong with the cream filling; as I walked around the room cleaning up after the party, I found dozens of mini-cream puffs with a single bite taken out of them . . .

Don't want to enter, but did want to share!

Happy Birthday Leigh :) This is very sweet of you.

My favorite b-day celebration was a sleepover party with 6 of my girlfriends for my 16th birthday. We stayed up all night and had a blast (there's wacky videos to prove it, haha).
