Best Foot Forward

I love flip flops, that is no secret. However, (sadly) I can't wear my beloved Reefs to school- something about being professional (yet we can wear jeans and sweatshirts?).  Anyway, all work flip flops must be "dressy", i.e. have hard bottoms.

So this spring I was on the hunt for comfortable, cute, somewhat casual black work flip flops.  I bought these from Old Navy.

Granted Old Navy quality isn't high but I thought they'd last the spring-fall season.  Yet, after just a few spins my pair looked like this.

They had a pretty, woven wedge and a comfortable hight for teaching, so I didn't want to give up on them.
After some quality time (less than an hour) with grosgrain ribbon, spray adhesive and shiny buttons, I had "new" (Leigh-bellished) shoes.
Opps, still gotta clean them

Have you rehabbed any shoes?

Those are cute! Never rehabbed a pair, but I used to put my flipflops from ON in the dishwasher. My mom caught me one day and that was the end of that!

I love the Leigh-bellisment! I wish we could wear sandals to work - nothing with a thong strap and nothing is more comfortable than my Rainbows!
