The blues and greens go very well with the other greens and blues in my house; and I wanted to bring purple (and some yellow) into my craft space, so this is perfect!
I am a bit worried that the pattern might be too much mixed with my pattern on my chair.
I have these Anno Inez panels to use as curtains. They are actually a cream background with a brown sugar pattern, almost a perfect match for the colors of the chair fabric. Maybe different curtains, solid colors?

Hmmm... I do think the rug would look great in the room with all the colors you want. I think the panels would be fine but I see what you mean about the chair fabric...not so sure. While the pattern on the rug will hide lots of spills, Chester footprints, etc, it will also be difficult to find dropped items such as pins (No,Chester...you can't eat them!)
